Dear All,

Everything is cool here, so I thought I'd drop a line to give everyone an update.

I get lots of exercise now and I've been a very good boy.  I don't jump up or bite or pull on the leash.  'Course, Mom still carries that spray stuff if I should ever change my mind, but I don't think I will as long as I keep getting walks and play time.  Plus, Mom feeds us twice a day and lets us out in the morning and tucks us in a night, so I see lots of her. The other day, I actually had to insist on going back to my pad.  I was beat and needed a rest.

Sundance, Houston and Riley say Hi, too.

Sundance even likes our new Dad.  Can you believe it?  (Let's hope he remembers him when Dad comes back next time!)  AND, he's been totally chillaxed.  He hasn't even been griping at Houston and I for playing too loud.  Looks like the air here is agreeing with him.  Thank goodness, I hate cranky neighbors.

RIley's the same old Riley, but she hasn't been barking as much.  She likes to act tough, but deep down she's just a little girl.  I think she likes her house best.  She's got a house, two chairs and a pool.  And, it's so much bigger than where she lived in Tylertown.  She's pretty psyched.  But don't worry, Mom put lids on all the corners so she can't pull a Tom Cruise and climb out like a monkey.

Houston is still my best bud.  We haven't been playing since I hurt myself, but we talk through the fence.  He really likes the toys here.  There's this purple octopus, I swear he'd marry it if he could.  And he thinks the play set that Mom put in our exercise yard is pretty neat.  He even fetches now. I never thought I'd see the day, but he chases the ball and brings it back.  He used to be such a Lone Ranger, but now he likes to play with Mom.  Though, I have to tell you, he'd really like to chase some of the critters that live in the trees around us.  Personally, they scare the crap out of me.

I hear Pumpkin's coming down, too, as soon as Mom can get him some kenneling and a special house.  There aren't any more stalls, but she doesn't think he'd like them anyway, so she's trying to find someone to buy him an insulated house that she can hook up to a/c.  He doesn't much like me, but that's OK, I'll just stay clear of him.  He's so chubby and with those crooked feet, how can I give him a hard time?  After all, a guy as handsome as me has to understand when others are jealous.

Anyway, I gotta get back and take a nice afternoon nap.  Just wanted to say thanks again.  You would be very proud of us all.

P.S.  About the picture, I was playing a little rough with Houston and cut my leg on a wooden bench.  Mom was so freaked out!  She took me to the vet and they put stitches in, but they bugged me, so I tore them out.  Yesterday she took me back and they put staples in and now I have to where this silly hat.  What a drag.  I can't sit in my pool or hang out with Houston for a while.  Total Bummer, but we can still talk through the fence.  I think Mom's been putting something in my food though because I haven't much minded and I've been kind of floaty for the past couple of days.  Yawn...  Oh well, I'll be back in good form soon.

Love and Smooches,
Dallas
